ROLES/CREWS AVAILABLE (WITH NUMBER OF SPOTS)
We couldn't put this event together without the help of our community members. Easy rolling at Dundas Place on Saturday, May 31st is top priority. We're looking for folks who can help with:
Announcements, Music & Prizes (4) 3 🎶🎤
- stationed role, at a tent, with AV equipment provided; opening and closing remarks, reminders and countdown; music DJing; raffle ticket and prize management
- ahead of event day, secure raffle prizes from local in-kind sponsors and prepare opening and closing remarks
Bike Fix & Merch (5) 3 🔧👕
- stationed role, at a tent with bike stand & tools provided; assist with safety checks; handle cash float, point of sale and t-shirts; sell organization merchandise and memberships
Crowd Control & Guidance (6) 5📍👉🏼
- floating role, onsite at Dundas Place; point of contact outside of tents; answer FAQs; direct participants to website and amenities; queue and crowd management, especially at check-in tent and around food vendors
First Aid (2) ❤️🩹🩹
- floating role, with details via email; health care background required, with up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification; in case of an injury
Info & Check-in (7) 5 💻🎟️
- stationed role, at a tent with laptops and wifi provided; late registration and participant check-in on Race Roster; wristband and raffle ticket distribution; London Cycle Link and sponsor handouts; reminders on rules and guidelines
Photo, Video & Social Media (4) 2 📸🎥
- floating role, and follows riders (bike recommended); own equipment required; capture shots and/or footage at start, Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op, Colborne Street bike lane, specific intersections, landmarks, finish, etc; capture shots and/or footage of participants, teams, food truck & trike vendors, sponsors, tents, London Police Service and volunteer crew
- ahead of event day, create content for press, print and social media to promote the event, sponsors and vendors
Ride Marshal (16) 14 🚓🚲
- floating role, and goes on ride; own bike required; knowledge of rules of the road and cycling signals required; herd participants to prevent bottlenecks; hazard alert; liaison with London Police Service
- ahead of event day, attend ride marshal & group ride training session
Sponsor, Vendor & Volunteer Coordinator (6) FILLED 🧠🫱🏻🫲🏽
- floating and stationed roles, with details TBD; operational oversight ahead of and during event day; relay information between parties, specifically Dundas Place staff, London Police Service, media, sponsors, vendors and designated volunteers
